Today's post is on Claymore volume 16: The Lamentation of the Earth by Norihiro Yagi. It is the sixteenth the long running Claymore series, you need to have read the first fifteen volumes to understand the story. It is 189 pages long and is published by Shonen Jump Advanced. The cover has Helen and Deneve of it. The intended reader is someone who likes dark plots, high action, and strong female characters. There is mild foul language, no sexuality, and lots of violence in this book. The story is told from third person close of the main character. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- After Miria's incredible revelations about the origins of the Yoma, the seven warriors split up to settle their affairs and say their goodbyes in preparation for the final battle against the Organization. Helen and Deneve fall in with a spirited young warrior of the current generation and soon find themselves confronting the Organization's latest, most terrible weapons.

Review- We get odd answers to questions from the beginning of the series. The man in black who was Clare's contact with the Organization is really a spy from the mainland and he tells her everything. From the war to the reason for Claymores but Clare and company are not the ones at get the big story in this volume, it is Deneve and Helen. They pick up another Claymore as they are traveling to their hometowns. She tries to tell them that there are only demons that way but Deneve and Helen want to finish their business. As they travel south they run into Isley and a fight ensues but the demons come. The demons are the newest weapons by the Organization and they are horrifying. They are called Abyss Feeders and they exist only to eat Awakened Ones. The fight is brutal and not quick but the plot revelations are pretty chilling. I am so curious about where we are going to go from here.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my money.
