Tomie

Today's manga post is on Tomie by Junji Ito. It is 750 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover is black with white lines outlining Tomie with a red blood drop in the center. The intended reader is someone who likes horror on a cosmic scale. There is mild foul language, mild sexuality, and lots of violence. The story's perspective changes with every chapter has it is really a string of short stories around Tomie and what she does. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the manga- Tomie Kawakami is a femme fatale with long black hair and a beauty mark just under her left eye. She can seduce nearly any man, and drive them to murder as well, even though the victim is often Tomie herself. While one lover seeks to keep her for himself, another grows terrified of the immortal succubus. But soon they realize that no matter how many times they kill her, the world will never be free of Tomie.

Review- A interesting collection from Ito where the reader follows different people over the course of many years and their interactions with Tomie. Tomie is not just a beautiful woman, she is something much more dangerous and evil. She drives people mad and she enjoys the madness. The art is good with the horror that follows Tomie's every step on every page. The reader is drawn to Tomie, just like the characters, into her mystery and her desire for horror and blood. I would have liked more information about Tomie herself, like has she always been around or was she a normal person once? I know that some readers like the total mystery of Tomie but I wanted more about her. Maybe that was Ito's plan, if so then it worked on me. I would recommend this manga to horror fans and of course, fans of Ito.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

A Man and His Cat, Vol. 6

Today's manga post is on A Man and His Cat, Vol. 6 by Umi Sakurai. It is 180 pages long and is published by Square Eniz Manga. The cover has Kanda, Moriyama, and thier two cats on it. As it is the sixth volume in the series, you need to have read the first five volumes to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who likes slice of life manga about living with pets. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the main characters, including the cats. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the manga- Mr. Kanda has come a long way with a little help from his friends—furry and otherwise. So of course he wants to return the favor when Yoshiharu Moriyama, his music school colleague and Fukumaru fanboy, is abandoned by his bandmates onstage! But to help his friend, can Mr. Kanda summon the courage and determination necessary to overcome his own crippling stage fright?!

Review- Moriyama has been set-up by his band, as they don't want to change the direction for the band and he does. But Kanda and the other teachers step in to help him. Kanda is also cat-sitting Fukumaru's sister for his friend, as the friend is traveling. So lots of cute cat playing and sleeping together. It's very sweet. Kanda is growing and changing as he learning to love life and music again. As he regains his love for life, he is helping others handle the hard things in life too. I love this manga, it's just so sweet and moving. I look forward to the next volume.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 9

Today's manga post is on The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 9 by Kousuke Oono. It is 168 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover has Tatsu and Miku on it eating. It is the ninth in the series but the series is a series of one shot stories, you will get more out of the plot if you have read the first eight volumes but you do not have to have read all of them to understand the story. The intended is someone who likes humor and silly gags. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of Tatsu. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the manga- Tatsu faces off against his toughest opponent yet—a cunning little girl who refuses to eat her vegetables! It’s going to take more than some quick sleight of hand to get one over on this smart cookie. Does the Immortal Dragon have what it takes to deliver the goods?

Review- Tatsu is getting a reputation for helping parents get their kids to eat their veggies, so he is called into help but the little girl is smart and can see through his tricks. But that has never stopped Tatsu the Immortal Dragon and will not now! Of course there is more silliness in this volume from bug battles to helping local businesses to stay in business, Tatsu has his hands in all the goods. I love this manga so much. The art is good, the characters are hilarious and the jokes are the best. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next volume.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Land of the Lustrous, Vol. 1

Today's manga post is on Land of the Lustrous, Vol. 1 by Haruko Ichikawa. It is 200 pages long and is published by Kodansha Comics. The cover has some of the characters on it. The intended reader is someone who likes complicated, dystopian stories. There is no foul language, no sex, and some action violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the the main character, Phosphophylliye. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the manga- Searching for Purpose
In a world inhabited by crystalline life-forms called The Lustrous every unique gem must fight for their way of life against the threat of Lunarians who would turn them into decorations. Phosphophyllite, the most fragile and brittle of gems, longs to join the battle. When Phos is instead assigned to complete a natural history of their world, it sounds like a dull and pointless task. But this new job brings Phos into contact with Cinnabar, a gem forced to live in isolation. Can Phos's seemingly mundane assignment lead both Phos and Cinnabar to the fulfillment they desire?

Review- This is an interesting start to a series. The world that Phos lives in has ended but life has continued in a very unusual way. So to understand the world she is given the task of making a natural history. The Lunarians are interesting villains as they are a total unknown expect that they want the Lustrous, for some reason know only to themselves. The art is good and the action scenes are interesting and quick. I look forward to reading the next volume.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

A Man and His Cat, Vol. 5 Umi Sakurai

Today's manga post is on A Man and His Cat, Vol. 5 by Umi Sakurai. It is 164 pages long and is published by Square Enix manga and books. The cover has Mr. Kanda, Fukumaru and Moja on it. As it is the fifth in the series, you need to have read the first four volumes to understand the story. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this series. The intended reader is someone who loves pet and animal stories. The story is told from third person close of the characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Fukumaru settles in for an evening of watching the house while Mr. Kanda is out on the town. But when he catches sight of a very familiar furry face on the other side of the window, the beloved kitty loses his cool! Upon Mr. Kanda's return home, a bewildered Fukumaru makes a decision he might furever regret! What should have been a pleasant night quickly turns into a nightmare for both the man and his cat!

Review- Another cute and emotional volume in this series. Fukumaru sees a friend, who is scared and lost, and wants to help. But instead gets himself lost for two weeks. For two weeks Mr. Kanda searches for him and is heart rending to read. They both suffer being lonely and sad but they never give up hope to find home. Mr. Kanda is learning to lean on his friends more and that he is not alone. Poor Fukumaru has the hardest time, trying to keep up his hope of finding home. I teared up, as usual, when reading this volume. This series really understands what it is to love a pet and how painful it is to lose them, even for a moment.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 8

Today's manga post is on The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 8 by Kousuke Oono. It is 168 pages long and is published by Viz Media. As it is the eighth in the long running series, you need to have some other volumes to understand the story. The cover has Tatsu ironing and looking very intense. There is no foul language, no sex, and comedy violence in this manga. The intended reader is someone who likes comedy manga with over the top gags. The story is told from third person close of the main characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the manga- Housework without Honor or Humanity.
The cozy yakuza comedy continues as everyone's favorite househusband finds himself in even more crazy high jinks. Between a donut showdown and a new lady cop on the beat, Tatsu may have finally met his match! It's just another day for the Immortal Dragon.

Review-Another prefect volume of great comedy. Tatsu gets himself into and out of some great silliness in this one. At the end of the volume there is a special Poli-Cure episode, that is Tatsu's wife's favorite show. It was fun and funny to see Oono take on the magical girl tropes. Tatsu continues to be the best, most oblivious former yakuza ever. From trying to find a home for a hamster and hiding like a gun to trying to out man one of his friends in a steam sauna, there is a little bit of everything in this volume. I love this series so much and I cannot wait to read the next volume.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 7

Today's post is on The Way of the Househusband, vol 7 by Kousuke Oono. It is 168 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover has Tatsu and his cat on it. As it is the seventh in the series, you need to have read the first six volumes to understand the story and the humor. There is no foul language, no sex, and comedy violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the the different characters to make the humor stronger. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Tatsu is tasked with squeezing the locals for money owed to the association- the neighborhood association, that is. But when the former gangster tried to collect, what should be a quick and easy job ends up anything but! All your faves are back in action as the cozy yakuza comedy continues!

Review- More funny stories about Tatsu and his not so ordinary life. There are so many good stories in this volume from Tatsu creating haikus with his father-in-law and having a haiku challenge with his old boss to making homemade sake with his second Masa. We get to see more of how Tastu and Miku met and how she helped him after whatever trouble he got into. This is the funniest manga ever, I swear.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Moriarty the Patriot, vol 1

Today's post is on Moriarty the Patriot, vol 1 by Ryosuke Takeuchi and art by Hikaru Miyoshi. It is 216 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover has Moriarty on it with a gun and a red background. The intended reader is someone who likes retelling classic stories. There is mild foul language, no sex, and some violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of Moriarty. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Before he was Sherlock's rival, Moriarty fought against the unfair class caste system in London by making sure corrupt nobility got their comeuppance. But even the most well-intentioned plans can spin out of control- will Moriarty's dream of a more just and equal world turn him into a hero ... or a monster?
In the late 19th century, Great Britain rules over a quarter of the world. Nobles sit in their fancy homes in comfort and luxury, while the working class slaves away at their jobs. Then young Albert James Moriarty's upper-class family adopts two lower-class orphans, the cruelty the boys experience at his family's hands cements Albert's hatred of the nobility he was born into. He asks the older of the two boys- who has a genius mind and a killer instinct- to help him rid the world of evil, starting with Albert's own family!

Review- A wonderful reimaging of the world of Sherlock Holmes. Moriarty was a abused child but he had a plan and the will to see it through. With help from natural and adopted brothers, they get revenge and freedom. From there the rest of the volume is building the world and the characters who live in it. The reader sees how badly most nobles treat everyone around them, including murdering innocent people who are just in the way. The art is very good, the plot was fascinating, and the characters are reinvented in this manga. I hope that Sherlock will be joining the cast soon because I want to see Moriarty as the good guy interacts with Sherlock, who is going to be a villain in this version.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

A Man and His Cat, Vol. 4

Today’s post is on A Man and His Cat, Vol. 4 by Umi Sakurai.  It is 164 pages long and is published by Square Enix Manga. The cover is an illustration of Utena and Touga as they duel. As it is the fourth in the series, you need to have read the first three volumes to understand the story. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this book. The intended reader is someone who likes sweet stories about found family and pets. The story follows the main characters, Fukumaru and Kanda. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Fukumaru might find it hard to imagine, but not everyone is Mr. Kanda's biggest fan! Kanade Hibino, a rival concert pianist, detests Mr. Kanda and his musical genius. But when Kanade has a furry new houseguest forced upon him, he heads to the pet store for supplies and guidance...only to run into none other than his (assumed) nemesis! Will the cats in their lives bring the two men closer together and mend old wounds?

Review- The volume picks up where the last one left off with Kanda helping a friend get his new cat adjusted to a new home. We see more of the people in Kanda’s life in this volume and how much he is loved by those around him. Fukumaru also reunites with his older sister and they bond and play together. Lots of time in vignettes of cat life in this volume too with Fukumaru stealing Kanda’s dinner and trying to sleep with a cat. This series has so much heart and it really gets the joys of getting to sharer your life with a pet.

I give this manga a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the House Husband, vol 6

Today’s post is on The Way of the House Husband, vol 6 by Kousuke Oono. It is 168 pages long and is published by Viz Media. As it is the sixth volume in the series you need to have read the first five to understand the plot. The cover has Tatsu and his housewife friend’s on it. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this novel. The story is told from third person close of the main character, Tatsu. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the dust jacket- All of Tatsu’s hustling and networking since leaving the yakuza has earned him an offer he can’t refuse—an invitation to run with the women’s association, the movers and shakers of his neighborhood. But before he can be initiated, the Immortal Dragon must prove to the board’s heavyweights that he truly can hack it as a homemaker. It will be the greatest test of this househusband’s skills yet!

Review- Lots of little stories in this volume from Tatsu joining a housewife’s association to shopping for Miku, more of the crazy fun that this manga has given in the past. Of course there are the funny moments of people thinking that Tatsu is making yakuza threats and of Tatsu misunderstanding everyone about him in yakuza ways. But we get to see more of the moment when Tatsu and Miku met but just for a moment then a gag happens and the serious moment is over. I love everything about this series. I cannot wait to read the next volume.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this series with my own money.

A Man and His Cat, Vol. 3

Today’s post is on A Man and His Cat, Vol. 3 by Umi Sakurai. It is 144 pages long and is published by Square Enix Manga. The cover has Fukumaru and Kanda on it as Kanda plays the piano. You do not have to have read the first two volumes but it will help you understand the story a little better. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The intended reader is someone who likes sweet, slice of life stories. The story is from third person of mostly Fukumaru but others adding insight into different characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Fukumaru's in the hospital and in big trouble! This turn of events leaves Mr. Kanda in big trouble too, emotionally speaking. Both the man and the cat know what it's like to be lonely, and as the days pass in a whirl, the reason Mr. Kanda weeps from time to time gradually becomes clear...

Review- More of Fukumaru and Kanda’s daily life together as they heal and love each other. Fukumaru has to go to the vet and that causes Kanda all kinds of worries. Fukumaru is still worried about Kanda rejecting him but is slowly getting better about it. We see more of Kanda's life before Fukumaru and what happened to him after his wife suddenly died and we see more of the people in Kanda’s life. All in all a good volume that only made me cry a little at the end. Kanda is going to help a friend who has be given an abandoned cat and the friend doesn’t know what to do. I love this series, it really captures the life of having pets with all the joys and pain. I highly recommend this series.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 5

Today’s post is on The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 5 by Kousuke Oono. It is 168 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover has Tastu on it looking at the reader. As it is the fifth in the series you need to have read the first four volumes to understand the characters. There is no foul language, no sex, and comedic violence in this manga. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Tatsu is ambushed by a yakuza with a beef, and there’s only one way to settle things—an epic rap battle! But this throwdown is only a warm-up for the buffet battle yet to come, because when you’re the Immortal Dragon, you don’t choose the househusband life, it chooses you!

Review- Another wonderful, hilarious volume in one of my favorite series. Tatsu is going about his life and continues to have trouble from his old one. We get a rap battle, a cook off, and some great times with Miku in this volume. Those are my favorite stories from this volume and we get more than one story with Miku. Tatsu and Muki have Halloween together, go drinking, and Miku takes care of Tatsu when he is sick, that one is just hysterical. As always I cannot for the next volume, I love this series so much.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Gyo

Today’s post is on Gyo by Junji Ito. It is 400 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover is dark with greyed out silhouettes from the story on it. The intended reader is someone who likes horror and monster manga. There is no foul language, no sex, gore, and some violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the main character Tadashi. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Something is rotten in Okinawa…
The floating smell of death hangs over the island. What is it? A strange, legged fish appears on the scene... So begins Tadashi and Kaori's spiral into the horror and stench of the sea. Here is the creepiest masterpiece of horror manga ever from the creator of Uzumaki, Junji Ito. Hold your breath until all is revealed.

Review- This is a fascinating manga with monster and outbreak themes. Tadashi and his girlfriend are taking a vacation when Kaori’s starts to smell something terrible. From there it becomes a guessing game of what is going on. Is it an outbreak? Monster attack? Mutants? The reader is pulled from one scene to the next as Tadashi and Kaori try to survive from the horror that is chasing them from the sea. Ito is a master of his craft and this animal attack/outbreak story is very worth reading. The story is understandable, the characters are sympathetic, and art will haunt you when you look at a fish and wonder, if they are going to come for you. I highly recommend this manga.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars.  I get nothing for my review and I was given this manga as a gift.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Vol. 2

Today’s post is on Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Vol. 2: Heed My Call, Beast! Part 2 by Yoshinobu Akita and Muraji.  It is 180 pages long and is published by Seven Seas. The cover has Orphen, Azalie and Childman on it. As it is the second volume of the series you need to have read the first volume to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who has read the first volume, likes high fantasy and action manga. There is no foul language, no sex, and fantasy violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of Orphen. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- BLOODY REUNION
It’s been five years since Orphen last saw his dear friend Azalie–and now he finds her, twisted into a deadly monster. The sorcerous Tower of Fangs is sending out an extermination squad to claim her head, and its leader wields the very sword that transformed Azalie in the first place. No matter the risks, Orphen’s not about to give up on the woman he loves. He joins the monster hunters, secretly waiting for his chance to break the curse!

Review- An excellent conclusion to this short series. Orphen gets his answers about what happened and he saves Azalie but it does not look like what he expected it to. There is not much else in this volume other than plot wrapping up and more magic in this world. There are so many different kinds of magic that I would have liked to get more into it but as it is only two volumes long something had to be sacrificed. But all plot threads are tied off and Orphen and friends ride off into the sunset to have more adventures that I would love to see. If you are looking for a fun short series then you should give Sorcerous Stabber Orphen a try.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the House Husband, vol.4

Today's post is on The Way of the House Husband, vol.4 Kousuke Oono. It is 159 pages long and is published by Viz. The cover has Tatsu on it making a bento. The intended reader is someone who has a great sense of humor and loves one shot stories. There is no foul language, no sex, and the violence is for comedy. The story is told from third person god perspective following Tatsu.

From the back of the book- On what beings as just another shopping trip, Tatsu has a run-in with a thief- of the feline persuasion! When the gangster- turned homemakers gives chase, yakuza are quickly drawn into the fray, and chaos erupts in the streets of the shopping district. Even everyday errands can turn treacherous when you're the Immortal Dragon!

Review- Another hysterical volume in this series. There are so many funny vignettes in this volume from Tatsu and his underling making bubble tea to a Tatsu's housewife friends thinking that he and his wife are Japan's Mr. and Mrs. Smith; there is so much to enjoy about this volume. Tatsu's everyday life makes mine own better by having crazy adventures with him. The art is good, the stories are just the best, and characters are so much fun that I look forward to every volume both new and old volumes to re-read their zany days. I highly recommend this series, every volume if this series is pure gold.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

A Man and His Cat, vol. 2

50599886

Today’s post is on A Man and His Cat, vol. 2 by Umi Sakurai. It is 148 pages long and is published by Square Enix Manga. The cover is a close up of Kanda and Fukumaru laying together. The intended reader is someone who likes sweet manga. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence's in this manga. The story is told from third person close of Fukumaru and Kanga. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Now that Fukumaru and Mr. Kanga have found each other, every new day brings with it a series of surprises and delights. As the pair navigate their new life together, time,  which had frozen for Mr. Kanda, following a personal tragedy, gradually begins to move again…

Review- Another cute volume in a very sweet series. Just like volume 1, this is a series of vignettes following the two main characters through their everyday life together, with getting some more past from Kanda. We see that his wife really liked cats and that they were going to get one right before she died and that Kanda was sort of just existing for a long time after her death until he seeing Fukumaru and decided to take him home. This is a very sweet series that is fantastic considering how stressful the world is right now, so if you're looking for a pick-me-up I would recommend reading this series.

I give this volume of Five out of Five Stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this mango with my own money.

The Way of the House Husband, volume 3

52758090. sx318
Today's post is on The Way of the Househusband, volume 3 by Kousuke Oono.  It is 160 pages long and published by Viz manga. The cover has the main character Tatsu on it hanging laundry. There is no foul language, no sexuality, and no violence in this manga. As it is the third volume in the series you need to have read the first two volumes to really get all of the jokes. The story is told in third person close to different characters that are around Tetsu so we see him the way they do. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- The Immortal Dragon, once the fiercest member of the yakuza, is now a married man devoted to supporting his loving wife—as a househusband! But when the gangster-turned-homemaker needs to make some quick cash to buy her a present, he turns to the only skills he knows…and gets his first part-time job! The cozy yakuza comedy continues!

Review-  Another hilarious volume by Oono.  We continue to follow Tatsu and his wife through their everyday life with Tatsu being over-the-top as he tries to be the best Lieutenant he can for his wife. The adventure that Tatsu and his wife get into vary in this volume from the cockroach returns to Tatsu's surprise birthday party and Christmas party with Tatsu as Santa Claus. The best part of the humor is watching Tatsu  be himself in these very normal circumstances and he is being so outside of the norm for everyone else. This manga has been accused of being a one joke manga. I personally disagree with it but even if it is just one joke it's hilarious and played very well. I cannot wait until volume 4 comes out and I can continue my adventures with Tetsu  and see what silliness he finds himself in.

I give this manga  Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the House Husband, volume 2

44025159. sx318

Today’s post is on The Way of the House Husband, volume 2 by Kousuke Oono. It is 160 pages long and is published by Viz Media. The cover has Tatsu on it buying cabbage looking meaner than he is. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The intended reader is someone who likes gag comedies. The story is from third person close following Tatsu. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the book- It’s a day in the life of your average househusband—if your average househusband is the legendary yakuza “the Immortal Dragon”!
A former yakuza legend leaves it all behind to become your everyday househusband. But it’s not easy to walk away from the gangster life, and what should be mundane household tasks are anything but!
Review- I really enjoyed the first volume and the second volume it did not disappoint me. It is more Tatsu being himself and that's just what I wanted. Like the first volume we get a series of vignettes from his everyday life which is anything but average. From shopping for a family car with his wife and  Tatsu thinking all the way that someone may try to kill him in it or growing veggies on his balcony and the local police thinking he is growing something else, Tatsu's everyday life is one laugh to the next. Yes, it is a one joke manga but man the joke is great from any angle you look at it. I cannot wait to read the next volume and see what trouble he gets into next.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

The Way of the Househusband

44018869

Today's post is on The Way of the Househusband by Kousuke Oono. It is 159 pages long and is published by Viz. The cover has the main character looking scary. The intended reader is someone who likes over-the-top slice of life comedy. There is no foul language, no sex, and some violence in this manga. The story is told in third person of mostly the main character. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- He was the fiercest member of the yakuza, a man who left countless underworld legends in his wake. They called him "the Immortal Dragon." But one day he walked away from it all to travel another path- the path pf the househusband! he curtain rises on this cozy yakuza comedy!

Review- I love this series so much! Everything is wonderful about it; the art, the story, the characters, just everything is perfect. Tatsu was the toughest yakuza in the business and then one day he was just gone. He left it all behind to become a househusband to his wife Miku, a busy career woman. So he lives a much quieter life this days but trouble can still find him. This series is about his 'normal' life with the cat, cooking, running into old friends and foes. It is just so perfect, so funny, and i loved every minute of it.

I give this manga a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Deus Vitae volume 3

Today's post is on Deus Vitae volume 3 by Takuya Fujima. It is 24 pages long and was published by Tokyopop. It is the third in a trilogy. The cover has one of the minor female characters on it in a very sexual pose. The intended reader is adult, likes dark science fiction, and high action. There is foul language, sexuality, and violence in this book. The story is told from third person god perspective. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- After overcoming a perilous ambush, Ash and company meet up with the head office Re-o. There, Lemiu is confronted with a terrible secret from Ash's past... and a climactic attack of Selenoids could mean the end of mankind as we know it!

Review- So in this last volume we get some weird philosophy stuff about how the only thing that humans can offer Selenoids is love. So humankind is saved because of the love between Ash and Lemiu because in spite of the fact that Selenoids do not or can not love; somehow Lemiu can because reasons. Other than this series being very pretty to look at, it does not have much going to for. The story is very thin, characters are boring or just there to be sexualized, and just left me with nothing to write about in a positive way other than being pretty. But at least it was not a long series.

I give this volume a Two out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my money.
